Food Truck Nation names top 20 food truck-friendly cities

by

Over the last decade, food trucks have become a dynamic $2 billion industry fueled by entrepreneurship and economic opportunity.

Food Truck Nation, a project of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, recently published its Food Truck Index Report crowning Portland, Denver and Orlando the top three cities for operating a food truck. Others in the top 20 include Philadelphia, Nashville and Boston.

The report didn’t consider cuisine. Instead, it evaluated ease of obtaining permits and licenses, number of restrictions and simplicity of operating a truck in each city. No surprise: The food truck business varies greatly across the country.
