Pittsburgh Polyphony: Merce Lemon is the furthest thing from sour

Merce Lemon

Over a mélange of folk-filled instrumentation and textures, Merce Lemon juxtaposes a soft and unassuming voice with taking on big, in-your-face ideas.

After a short reprieve from making music while living in Seattle, Merce returned to Pittsburgh in 2017 having recorded her first two EPs, “Ideal For A Light Flow With Your Body” and “Girls Who Jump In.” Each explored the paradigms of identity, relationships and the human experience.

Now, Lemon has released her newest project, “Moonth,” after its lead single “Baby” landed itself on multiple Spotify editorial playlists.

You can check out “Moonth,” and the rest of Lemon’s catalogue, here.
