Fancy a dance?

by
Pittsburgh folk dance

I learned how to square dance recently and it was awesome. There’s something special about sweating, dancing with strangers and enjoying yourself for hours. Everyone should try it once.

Lucky for us, Pittsburgh has a surprisingly vibrant folk dance scene. You can find contra dances, a term referring to dances that are made up of long lines of couples, across the city on various nights. The Pittsburgh Contra Dance Network holds contra dances every Friday night at the Wightman School in Squirrel Hill and the Bulgarian Center in Homestead.

So go get your square dance on. You won’t regret it.
