The Longest Day honors those affected by Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer's Walk

Today, June 21, is the summer solstice or the longest day of light. The Alzheimer’s Association recognizes this as The Longest Day – a day of love for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Teams and individuals are encouraged to choose an activity they love to do – or an activity a lost loved one used to enjoy – and raise funds in support of the mission to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.

If you’re looking to support the cause locally, there are fundraising events happening around the Pittsburgh area, including the annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at PNC Park last night.
