Runners lace up their shoes to celebrate Fourth of July

While many celebrate the Fourth of July with cookouts and fireworks, for others it’s another great day for a race. According to Running USA, the Fourth of July is the second most popular holiday for runners and racers.

If you’re feeling motivated to run on Independence Day, join one of the largest and most popular 5K races in the Tri-State area. Less than 10 miles from the city, Brentwood Township will host its 35th annual Brentwood Firecracker 5K. Or, join thousands of spectators to cheer on the runners and enjoy the parade.
