River City Brass grows in decade with James Gourlay

by The 100 Companies

Since James Gourlay took the helm of River City Brass in 2009, the band’s repertoire has expanded to include classic rock, big band swing, movie music and even Bollywood hits.

As the band’s repertoire has grown, so has its audience. Every season, more and more people come out to enjoy great music delivered with Gourlay’s signature wit and energy. Marking his 10th anniversary season, Mayor Bill Peduto and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald both named days for Gourlay, cementing his status as a Pittsburgh cultural icon.
