From Spirit to Stage AE, Pittsburgh boasts many great music venues. But Max Somerville of local rock group Wreck Loose believes it’s the combination of the local festival and club scene that make Pittsburgh a great music city.
“The vitality of our local scene gives the many Pittsburgh bands a chance to play in front of thousands of people every year. And fans go out to both clubs and festivals eager to become exposed to local music,” Somerville says. “Community groups and volunteers have truly done a great job organizing events like Deutschtown Music Festival and Thrival in recent years.”
