Over the past decade we’ve seen a massive increase in online shopping, leading to many familiar shops in American malls closing their doors. In 2019 alone U.S. retailers announced over 9,300 store closings – a 59% jump from 2018.
However, one Pittsburgh destination is standing tall through the downturn: The Waterfront at Homestead. Its combination of shopping, entertainment and dining has kept Pittsburghers coming back to shop under the smokestacks for over 20 years.
