Each year, American Express promotes small businesses by declaring the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday, in order to encourage consumers to shop local for the holidays.
Last year’s event raised a record high of $19.6 billion in reported local spending. Partners are hopeful for another successful year, despite COVID-19 being a potential obstacle.
In a reality where several small businesses have gone under, this year may be the most vital Small Business Saturday yet. Consider participating in the 11th annual event by giving business to your local shops on Nov. 28, 2020. Every bit goes a long way.
