PA proposes salary increases to white collar exemptions

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry has submitted proposed revisions for salaried workers who are exempt from overtime pay.

The salary increase for executive, administrative and professional job categories would be as follows:

• $610 weekly ($31,720 annually) effective on publication date (anticipated for 2019)

• $766 weekly ($39,832 annually) effective one year after publication

• $921 weekly ($47,892 annually) effective two years after publication

• Three years after publication, and January 1 of each third year thereafter, the salary will be adjusted according to the Northeast Census region as published by the U.S. Department of Labor.
